The Applied Linguistics Round Table
Round Table schedule and materials
Throughout the year, grad students (MA and PhD) and faculty from Applied Linguistics and other departments meet to share and discuss ideas, including:
- Individual and team-based research (completed and in-progress).
- Approaches to data – What constitutes data? How are data collected? Which methods, approaches, and theories best fit the data to be (or being) analyzed?
- Theoretical and methodological trends in the field.
Meetings are typically held on Friday afternoons, from 2:30 – 4:00 at 124, Walker.
Round Table meetings are an excellent place to get to know faculty and students in Applied Linguistics and other programs and to share your own ideas with them.
Come and join us for exciting discussions about language, teaching, research, theory, and technology. And refreshments!
