Patience Okyere, a Ph.D. student in Applied Linguistics and African Studies at The Pennsylvania State University, holds both a Bachelor's and a Master of Philosophy in English from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. Her academic focus centers on how language can address societal issues, particularly in the realms of language policy, decoloniality, southern epistemologies, pragmatics, and gender studies. She is passionate about using her research as a tool for societal change and challenging marginalization.
