Professional Bio

HyeEun is a Ph.D. student in Applied Linguistics at The Pennsylvania State University. Her research interests center on the intersections of migration, identity, and multiliteracies. Having worked as a middle school English teacher in Korea, she is particularly interested in the language use of emigrant populations, especially North Korean refugees, in classroom settings and how it affects their identity.
