Jingyuan Zhuang is a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics. Her research interests include second language acquisition, study abroad, and research methodology. Her dissertation project, which examines the effectiveness of online concept-based language instruction on the second language development of English modality using a mixed methods design, has received EuroSLA 30 Junior Researcher Grant, Language Learning Dissertation Grant, and NFMLTA-MLJ Dissertation Writing Support Grant. Jingyuan has taught undergraduate- and graduate-level courses on academic writing, academic oral communication, second language pragmatics, and second language acquisition.
